Cartagena
Well worth a visit, this lovely city has something for
everyone, be it in the ruins of a roman theatre, impressive buildings,
the Naval Port, recreational marina, restaurants, Tapas bars,
night life and pedestrian shopping area with shops for all tastes.
Cabo De Palos
A traditional fishing village within a 10 minute drive
of Mar De Cristal with a good variety of nice restaurants along
the harbour front specialising in fresh locally caught seafood.
A very popular place for tourists, relax and enjoy the spectacular
views.
There are a number of diving schools around the port and it is
also possible to arrange to go on various boat or fishing trips.
La Manga Strip
24 Kilometres of constantly changing scenery that runs
between the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean Sea. Along its route
you will find shopping areas, bars, restaurants, water skiing,
wind surfing, jet skiing and an endless amount of clean beaches,
bays and coves.
Lorca
"City of the Sun" located in the SW region
of Murcia, Lorca was known as Eliocroca which became shortened
to Lorca and was the capital of the area until the city of Murcia
was established. Like Cartagena, Lorca has a fascinating history
together with monuments, museums and castles. There are re-enactment
displays with actors in full period costumes who act as tourist
guides. All places have placards in English explaining the history.
